Engagement Pictures - Children's Museum

After hanging out at Monopoly in the Park, we walked right next door to the Children's Museum and found some pretty walls to take pictures at.

After seeing this picture, Sundance turned to me and said, "Uh, you look like a Geisha."

My lame-o reply, "Oh yeah, well you look like a...

... errmm, T-Rex?"

I love my red shoes! And I love Target.

$20 at Target. Word.

Sundance's feet aren't really that big.

I love these Silhouette type pictures of us.

Even my baby hairs show up in the Silhouette.

Does anyone have suggestions on what we can use the Silhouette pictures for?

Engagement Pictures - Monopoly

The fiance and I took engagement pictures a few weeks ago and we got the files! I am a bargain hunter through nature AND nurture. Nature because most Asians have this ability/need/want to bargain and Nurture because I watched my mom, Queen Bargainer, haggle on almost anything and everything. Anyways, this explains how I got found our engagement photographers - Memoire Studio!

When we were looking for places to take our shoot, I stumbled upon Monopoly in the Park in San Jose, CA. How cool is this place - it's a life size Monopoly Board! It was perfect because the Boardwalk was renamed the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, our venue! Was it fate? I like to think so.

Chance is Fate's disguise.

How else could we have met at a Trannie Bar?

How cool are these huge dice?

Fiance likes to sing to me and I like to listen in awe.

Even my baby hair is applauding in the wind.

Our props - Christmas presents courtesy of Fiance's parents

Anyone else do their photoshoot in a cool place?

The Friendor - Our Awesome Photographer

Booking the Photographer
As soon as we picked our date, I called my wedding photographer up and told him that I was booking that date. Yes, the photographer was the first and only person I had told for a long time (well, besides my Mom). Why did I call him right away? Because I knew he was awesome and that he would book up quickly. He was actually someone I met through our personal blogs and somehow through the years, we became good friends. He took pictures of Sundance and I after we had been dating for 4 months. I think we were actually his first formal photoshoot that he did himself and he was trying to get his portfolio up and running. We dressed up in our formal attire and took what I call "pre-engagement" pictures, haha! It was raining that day and I directed them to the wrong picture place (Fact: I get lost EVERYWHERE, even with a GPS). I'm sure he couldn't get all the shots he wanted, but man, the shots he DID get turned out amazing! I'm pretty sure a ton of people have seen our pictures because he won some contest for
Jesh de Rox with one of them.

So without further ado, my awesome photographer and friend, Junshien. And here are those "pre-engagement" pictures he took of us in Dec 2006 when he was just entering the world of weddings. And he's gotten 500% better in these 2 years. We are so proud to call him our photographer and friend

Our famous picture - I call it "Laughing Through The Rain"

Too bad Sundance had Alfafa hair here.

For some reason, this picture is so appealing to look at.

Who was the first Vendor that you picked and why?
